Instructor Profile

Nkono Yeeko holds a Masters of Education in Language and Literature and Bachelors of Education degree from Makerere University.

He has 10 years experience in phonics instruction with knowledge of Jolly Phonics, the letters and sounds program, the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and others. He has trained over 1,500 teachers and parents in both physical and online workshops.

Currently, he is supporting a virtual community of over 1,000 teachers via whatsapp and other social media platforms. He is also a Literacy consultant overseeing reading and handwriting writing programmes in various schools.

He is a Lecturer of Language at Uganda Martyrs’ University – Ggaba PTC Affiliate College. He handles classes of Bachelors of Education Primary and Bachelors of Education ECD.

Nkono Yeeko is a Functional Author, Poet and Short Story Writer. So far, he has written seven phonics books, one handwriting manual and five children’s storybooks.

He has a teaching experience of over 19 years. He has been in school administration for over 15 years. Over the year, he has mentored hundreds of teachers in the teaching of phonics, administration and other school operations
